According to the poll, the most common reason involved too much alcohol (surprise, surprise). Another biggie: exhaustion. Sometimes you just need to pass out after you’ve been planning and stressing for months.

Clearly, it’s time to dispel the totally overwhelming notion that your wedding day—and night—have to be 100 percent perfect. So we got real couples to share the un-sugar-coated version of how their first night of matrimony went down. We guarantee they'll make you feel better:

The Total Rage-Fest
“Someone brought a keg to our reception, and my husband was doing keg stands most of the night. He got really drunk—along with most of the party—and I almost gave him back the ring during a fight. We slept in separate hotel rooms that night, but we’re still married six years later.” —Lori Johnson

Tips for Tantric Sex Newbies

Potential TMI alert: Steve Jobs was into tantric sex, according to the new book The Bite in the Apple: A Memoir of My Life With Steve Jobs, which hits shelves later this month. In the book, Chrisann Brennan, one of Jobs’ exes, reveals some pretty juicy tidbits about their relationship, including Jobs’ affinity for tantric sex (and the fact that he relied on the pull-out method—not cool).

Not quite sure what tantric sex is all about? Here’s a primer: Tantra is a meditative approach to sex that emphasizes being in the present moment without distractions—including distracting thoughts about whether your partner’s feeling satisfied right now, how close you are to finishing, or even how much laundry you have to do later. “There’s all of this noise, this kind of static that goes on while people are making love that really degrades the experience of sex,” says David Yarian, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist. “This is the genius of tantra, to provide methods for putting the brain in neutral so that the body can fully experience all the sensations of sexuality.”

How female masturbation in achieving orgasm

As we have already mentioned, the female orgasm isn't as reliable or as automatic as the male orgasm generally is.

For this reason many women consult psychosexual specialists, family planning doctors and so on in the hope that they can be helped to achieve the elusive 'Big O'.

Nowadays, most experts agree that if a woman can reach orgasm through her own efforts, she can then learn to climax with a partner either during love play or intercourse.

Saturday 7 December 2013

Best methods of female masturbation

The average woman masturbates by stimulating her clitoris. She usually does this in little circular motions, either with her index or middle finger. Generally, women begin by touching themselves just above, or below, the clitoris. But as their excitement mounts, they can tolerate more intense stimulation right on top of it.

Some women find they like the feeling of 'bulk' created by having something in the vagina at the same time. This could be two or three fingers of her other hand, or some kind of object. One word of caution: it's best to use fingers or a sex aid designed for the purpose. Women sometimes get into trouble if they use unwashed fruit, or other items, that may introduce infection into the vagina. And they should definitely always avoid anything that's breakable, like glass – for obvious reasons.

Have perfect orgasm through masturbation

Many women like to practice having orgasms a few times on their own before involving a partner. But once you do choose to try with the person you care for, make sure you incorporate what you've been doing into your love play. Show your partner what you like, and let him or her help you to experience this great joy.

1.  Allocate some time – at least an hour, twice a week – when you know you'll have the house to yourself and can guarantee being undisturbed. (Arranging this can be the hardest part of the exercise!)

2.  Take a leisurely bath, using your favorite bath oil. Relax. Enjoy soaping your whole body. Give your breasts and your genitals plenty of attention.

Tips to Get Back in Shape Your Body After Pregnancy

Childbirth is a fresh chapter in a woman’s life and the new mother is close to feeling hassled due to several changes – emotional as well as physical. Here are a few tips that may go a long way in saying goodbye to all the weight gain during pregnancy.

Follow a nutritious diet: This is the time when you cannot go wrong with what you eat as it affects the milk supply to the newborn baby. “Start consuming wholesome meals and adopt a sensible approach to losing weight post-delivery,” suggests ACE-certified trainer Rashmi Uttam. She suggests new mommies to eat whole grains, fresh vegetables, high proteins in the form of fish and also healthy fats. “Good sources of such fats are nuts, olive oil and pure ghee, but all in balanced proportions,” she says.

Breast feed your baby: Did you know that breastfeeding can actually help you lose those extra pounds? There’s good news for new moms as nursing your precious one can lead to weight loss. Breastfeeding requires mothers to make milk which naturally burns calories and help her to shed those ugly flabs.

Think positive: Positive thinking goes a long way in preparing for a weight loss programme that is equally taxing on the mind and the body. Your baby is your first priority, so no matter how many kilos you have put on, remember you can get back in shape with time. Till then, revel in the happiness and positivity that your bundle of joy has brought into the family.

Go for walks: Brisk walking is probably the best exercise for women who have just delivered a baby. But at the same time, relax for at least 2-3 weeks before you hit the park! If you are a good swimmer, then it is a better idea to hit the pool to shed those kilos.

Say no to processed foods: As pointed out before, it is essential to follow a nutritious diet for your baby, more so if you are breastfeeding. Therefore, avoid all kinds of processed foods such as soft drinks, bakery products, frozen meals and canned food among others. Eat right and see how you get back to looking great!

Find support: It is very important to talk to friends and family members who have gone through a similar situation right after childbirth. Most often you will be flooded with interesting tips from an experienced mother. You can also pick up books on post-natal exercises and the like, to keep yourself motivated through the weight loss routine.

Continue with regular activities: If you were able to manage work and home during pregnancy without much difficulty, then you are safe to resume your normal activities after delivery. Cook up a tasty dish in the kitchen or arrange your book rack…there are so many things that can keep you on your toes!

How Can a Vibrator Help You Give Your Woman an Orgasm?

Many women go through life without using a vibrator, and many of those women also never experience an orgasm. Some women consider vibrators as a part of the more adventurous woman's bedroom, and they themselves view it as too erotic or silly to buy or use. But if they only knew how these simple toys could help them in the bedroom it may be a different story altogether. And men can help them understand just why those vibrators are so important! I’m not saying that a vibrator can replace a man, because there is nothing that can replace the feeling of a man and his warmth, movements, and passion, but they can be good tools to help a woman figure out what she would like her man to be doing so that he can give her an orgasm!

Known Facts about BV Women Need To Know

Bv stands for bacterial vaginosis. This is an irritating infection that strikes many healthy women. In this article, you will learn precisely what BV is and what you can do about it. In a normal vaginal canal, there exists a balance of acids and bases, and this is called the pH. However once in awhile the naturally occurring balance of pH is disrupted and becomes acidic. This can cause an overgrowth of bacteria that normally grow throughout the canal. This imbalance, where bad bacteria outnumber the good bacteria can result in BV. Years ago, this predicament was thought to be caused by the Gardnerella bacteria. But actually, there are seemingly a variety of different types of bacteria that may be responsible for the infection. Also, the scientific community is not completely clear on why this condition develops.

10 Health Foods That Aren’t At All Healthy

Vitamin Waters
Drink this water and it’s just like drinking a vitamin, right? Why actually eat nutrients in fruits and vegetables when you could just drink them in this delicious beverage? Sure they have been loaded with vitamins and minerals (albeit synthetic, or man-made, which do not act the same in our bodies as the nutrients coming from whole foods) but they have also been loaded with food coloring, preservatives and chemicals, and either sugar or artificial sweeteners. Believe me, any tiny benefit you might receive from the vitamins are completely outweighed by the health risks you take when you ingest this chemical cocktail.

The Best Masturbation Tips

If you're like many women, you have had a long-term relationship with a vibrator and, with concentration, can get the deed done during a commercial break. Still, even if you and your vagina are so in sync you finish each other's sentences, your sex life with yourself, like with any long-term partner, has room for improvement.

So put away your vibrator. Not forever—just for a few minutes. Because to improve your self-loving skills, the best place to start is the mind. "Seduce yourself," suggests sex coach Amy Levine, founder of IgniteYourPleasure.com. That doesn't mean making a rose-petal path to your bed, but some low-maintenance pampering can get you in the mood. Levine recommends playing soft music and lighting candles. Porn works too, if that's your thing. So does eyes-closed fantasizing. Says sexuality educator Timaree Schmit, Ph.D.: "Envision a situation that turns you on, and let it fully develop. Never judge yourself or say you should be thinking about something or someone differently. There's no so-called thought police."

The Benefits of Sleeping Naked

Not everyone feels comfortable sleeping naked, but it is important to understand the benefits of sleeping naked when it comes to not only your love life, but also your health and well-being. Sleeping naked can increase feel-good hormones in the brain, strengthen emotional ties and heighten both desire and intimacy between you and your partner. The following are just some of the benefits of sleeping naked:
  1. Releases hormones. Skin-to-skin contact releases oxytocin, a hormone known to promote sexual arousal and feelings of bonding, reduce stress hormones, increase trust, lower heart rate and raise overall sex drive. With all-night skin contact from head to toe, you will get a nice flow of this very useful hormone.
  2. Creates a stronger bond. Skin contact creates more than just useful hormones – it creates a bond! Increase the sense of bond between you and your partner and feel closer together than ever before. Remember, increased closeness encourages greater sex.
  3. Induce desire. Sleeping naked helps couples overcome relationship obstacles as the intimacy can close the gap when you feel separated from your partner.
  4. Look more erotic. Sleeping naked will become an open invitation to sex as no man can resist his wife curled up on one side without any clothes.
  5. Feel better. 30 minutes to an hour of love making per day can make you feel more satisfied with your life, fitter, healthier and just plain old better!
You don't have to have a partner to enjoy the benefits of sleeping naked, however. Research shows that sleeping naked:
  1. Allows the body to relax and rest more peacefully, which can in turn, increase your energy and daytime alertness levels.
  2. Improves self-confidence.

Blow jobs make women happier

Women who have oral sex become happier and more intelligent according to an American study, writes the Daily Mail.

Scientists at the State University of New York have proved that semen contains a wide range of sleep-improving, mood-rising and affection-increasing chemicals as well as at least three anti-depressants.

The study, carried out via a survey to 293 females about their sex lives, also claimed that regular unprotected sex helped women getting higher scores on cognitive tests.

After finding that semen contains chemicals such as cortisol (increasing affection), melatonin (for good sleep) and serotonin (an antidepressant), researchers Gordon Gallup and Rebecca Burch hypothesised women who had unprotected sex would get happier than those using condom.

The result showed that sexually active straight women – even those describing themselves as ‘promiscuous’ – who used condom, got depressed as often as women who had no sex at all.

Sexually active condom-less women, on the other hand, showed far less symptoms of depressions.

The study also found that women’s bodies can notice semen from someone different than a frequent sex partner. This evolved system was said to make it harder for women to get pregnant from unknown sperm.

How happy women are catching STDs or getting involuntarily pregnant from non-protected sex wasn’t shown in this study.

American sex columnist Michael Castleman commented the result on Psychology Today: “I'm not advocating that reproductive-age people shun condoms to elevate women's mood at the risk of unplanned pregnancy. But this effect might come in handy for women over age 50, who are experiencing menopausal blues.”

Living with erectile dysfunction? Try these home remedies

Erectile dysfunction is a sexual condition where the person is unable to achieve satisfactory erection and sustain it. While some people may dismiss home remedies but the use of herbs is an old practice and many drugs contain active ingredients from herbs. Erectile dysfunction could also be due to lifestyle patterns, such as smoking and alcoholism, emotional problems, medical conditions, depression and antidepressant medicines or due to diseases like diabetes, kidney disease, vascular disease etc. Home remedies are not only an effective way to combat the situation but they are also handy, non-risky and easy to practice even when one is traveling. These are all long term measures which also change the lifestyle of the patient forever.

Quit smoking

It is a known fact that smoking is associated with blockages in the blood vessels of the penis which hinders the blood flow necessary for an erection. You can use the support of family and friends as they provide emotional strength. Anti-smoking chewing gums also help as they help you in suppressing the craving for smoking. Try indulging in the activities you enjoy, like some sport, reading, watching movies, going for walks, exercising etc., which would not only help you relax but would immensely bring the stress level down and, hence, improve your sexual ability.

Massage and yoga

A vigorous massage with two drops of ylang ylang and clary sage oils, three drops of geranium oil and two and a half spoons of almond oil massaged on the back, legs and abdomen would revive muscular vigor essential for nervous energy. Some of the asanas such as dhanur asana, sarvang asana and hal asana improve blood flow. This massage and exercise routine could be carried out with one’s partner also.

Vitamins and minerals

Nutritional supplements like vitamin A, C, E, zinc and arginine have been shown to conquer erectile dysfunction. Vitamin A, C and E deficiency could be one of the causes behind this condition, so eating a diet rich in these vitamins and taking additional supplements could help to make the situation better. Some of the foods rich in these vitamins are milk products, fish, meat, legumes, cold pressed vegetable oils, citrus and most other fruits, broccoli, capsicum, wholegrain cereals, lentils, beans, nuts and seeds etc.
Zinc is a significant mineral in boosting sexual desire and capacity. Milk products, fish, shellfish, meat, wholegrain cereals, root vegetables, legumes, garlic and sprouted seeds are some of the foods are helpful in the growth of reproductive enzymes. Take zinc supplements of 15-20 mg every day along with a copper supplement. L-arginine, an amino acid which the body uses to make nitric oxide, is a substance which helps in relaxation of the smooth muscles in the penis which allows enhanced blood flow leading to an erection.

Walnuts

Walnut is known for its rich properties helpful in combating erectile dysfunction. A mixture prepared with one part of walnut and one part of honey taken 3 times a day and a glass of milk taken right after for 1 month is a simple and effective remedy for erectile dysfunction. It is easy to prepare this concoction and it brings a long term relief to the problem.

A research done by University of Chicago claims that sleep deprivation can lead to calcium build up in heart arteries which in turn develops plaques inside. There is a high risk of these plaques breaking inside and thereby triggering a heart attack. According to the research, lack of sleep can shoot up the levels of coronary calcium to as high as 16 percent. 27 percent of people sleeping less than five hours on an average were detected with development of plaque in the heart.
In a similar study done at the Harvard University 70,000 women aged between 45 and 65 were put under observation to understand the link between sleep and a healthy heart. It was found that women who slept less than five hours on an average were 40 percent more susceptible to heart diseases.

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is a sleeping disorder that has been found to be inter-related with heart attacks. Apnoea refers to pauses in breathing while sleeping something which can happen hundreds of times in a night. People suffering from OSA are more susceptible to coronary artery disease. OSA can be a cause to hypertension, which can limit the flow of blood to the heart and thereby also limiting the flow of oxygen to it.

How to do a homebody wrap for weight loss

Body wrap is a popular spa therapy for weight reduction. If properly combined with your weight loss diet and exercise routine, it can offer added results by reducing a few inches from different body parts. The squeezing action of the body wrap is usually responsible for weight loss, as your body would be wrapped to compress your tissues. To prevent weight gain, a body wrap also extracts excess water and toxins from your body by opening your skin pores. The extracted water is absorbed by the wrap itself. If you get body wraps from a spa, it can cost you a lot. Thus, doing your own body wrap can save you money. It is also quite easy to make a body wrap at home. Check out how you may do so.

Step 1: Using clay and various herbal ingredients, you may easily make your own body wrap. You can use your favorite essential oil to mix in the clay and sea salt. You should first boil one-fourth cup of sea salt in two cups of water. Turn off the heat when the sea salt fully dissolves in water. Then, you should add a cup of green clay and two tablespoons of olive oil to this mixture. When the mixture is cooled off, rub it all over your body.

Step 2: Use some thin sheets or towels to wrap around your whole body. As you need to do this task neatly and tightly, you may take help of a friend. However, you can do it once you have enough practice. Start rolling the sheets around your body as if you are applying a bandage to it. Begin this task from your legs going way up to you shoulders.

Step 3: You should then lie down in your bathtub for about 45 minutes. Line up the bathtub with some towels before you enter. You may also lie down on a sheet of blanket rolled open on the floor.

Step 4: When the mentioned time is over, rinse off the wrap using warm water. It will be easier to clean yourself up if you are standing in your bathtub. While rinsing your body, gently give a rub and massage to it.

Step 5: Pat dry your skin and wear some loose clothes after you have cleaned yourself up. This enhances ventilation to your skin pores. You may also drink a glass of water after some time so that excess wastes are drained out of your body.

How to Make Veggie Desserts

The newest (and most unexpected) place to get one of your five servings of vegetables a day is the dessert tray. And because they're not overpowering on their own, veggies tend to harmonize well with other dessert-y flavors (think lemon, ginger, and coconut). Check out these healthy dessert recipes:

The Perfect Kiss

The first kiss of a relationship decides its course. For women, kissing is a preview of her man's moves in bed later. We bring to you the dos and don’ts of the lip-lock for that perfect kiss, that will make him want to reach for you again and again.

Do stop talking: Good conversation is a must-have in a relationship, but it’s better to stop talking when kissing. Kissing should be continuous and effortless, so just keep the jibber-jabber to the minimum.

Don’t forget to use your hands: It’s just not your lips and tongue which complete the kiss, but your hands too. Gentle caress and soft strokes act as a catalyst in turning on your man.
